I know you have been wondering...

what our trip to Indonesia was like so here goes. It can be summed up in two phrases:

1) Miracle after Miracle - I felt is if God had arranged all of these meetings and we walked from one straight to another. The people were very receptive to whatever we had to say and all they wanted to do was share their lives with us. We were able to meet a new Balinese believer and he took us to his compound where his family lived so that he could show them that he was not crazy, that there were Christians all over the world. He is very eager and willing to share what Christ has done for him with his whole village and has a unique strategy for doing so that involves a pig farm, of all things. He is trying to build up a pig farm large enough so he can hire some people in his village to work it so that they will have to spend time with him and in turn he will be able to share Christ with them; one by one win his village by using pigs, how creative!

2)Straight out of The National Geographic - Ok, so we were pretty much the first white people this village has ever seen. It was hysterical the looks the villagers would get on their faces when they realized what they were seeing... 8 very white folks camping out in their village. The view was absolutely incredible! You know the scene in the movie Jurassic Park where the guy looks out into a gorgeous field and it is this big open tropical space with palm trees everywhere... that is what we got to look at everyday, AMAZING! Our village really took a liking to us so much so they invited us one night up to their place to teach our ladies their village dance. That was quite interesting, however, Rebecca Wire is very good at it! At the end of that night they shared with us that they wanted to do a gift exchanged a few days later to show that our "white" village and their village were friends. If that is not National Geographic, I don't know what is.

Well, that is all for now mainly because I still have jet lag and I am fading fast. This is the latest I have been up all week. Pictures will have to come later due to my card reader being out of commission. Sorry, hopefully soon though.
