Castillo De San Marcos

One of the adventures we went on with Jonathan was Castillo De San Marcos. It is an old Spanish fort in St. Augustine. The kids loved visiting the fort, seeing the old canons, and reading all about how the Spanish fought the English in the very spot they were exploring.

Must have been great, we are so much looking forward to meeting up with you guys and seeing Noah, Isaiah and Ruthe again :)

Last January I visited St. Augustine for the first time with Fjóla and my in-laws. We didn't go inside the Fort but took a few pictures outside it and strolled along the streets, looked at the old and beautiful houses and enjoyed the moment. It was a lot of fun.

We joked that our dog Moli was the only dog in the world that has been to Iceland and visited St. Augustine.

I know Fjóla put some pictures on her blog from a walk she took with Moli, our dog and from the trip to St. Augustine here http://fjolaogmoli.blogspot.com/2009/01/hja-pabba-og-mommu-i-deltona.html it is all in Icelandic.

-a small warning for the faint hearted, there is one picture early on of a dead squirrel that Moli and Fjóla encountered on their walk, and Moli wanted to investigate further, but Fjóla wouldn't allow him to.
