Little Cabin in the Woods

For Father's Day the kids wanted to take Clint camping so we went at the first available time which was this past Sunday evening. We ended up going down to Kings Dominion Campground and got a cabin since it was suppose to storm that evening. We figured it was the best kind of camping we could do with three children and a thunderstorm. Let me just tell you, it was very close to being in a tent. It was the smallest room I have ever seen; all that was in it was a double bed take two steps and there was a set of bunk beds... thats all! We did, thank Jehovah Jirah, have an a/c unit. It was great! The kids had a blast! Before it stormed, we spent a few hours riding rides at KD and left right as it started to rain, thunder and lightning. On the way back we stopped at the campground convenient store and game room for snacks, breakfast stuff and some entertainment. The next morning we tried to go swimming but the pool was not open yet so we tried out their terrible putt-putt golf course. There was only one causality in the whole putt-putt experience and it was a pure accident. Isaiah definitely did not mean to hit Ruthe with the golf club! Don't worry... there was no blood just an end to a putt-putt career. Since the pool did not work out we reverted to our Palatka days and the kids played in the water spicket next to the cabin. This trip was a great mini vacation and best of all the father being celebrated loved it!
