Car trouble continued...

So how did we get home? We left our van at the dealership that the tow truck dropped it off. Brian and Pinar took us to Adam and Chelsea's who had a wonderful dinner waiting on us. After eating and trying to decompress a bit, Adam took us to Stafford Baptist where we borrowed the red church van to get us home.

Think the story ends there... oh no!

Wednesday, Clint and some guys from the office went to pick up the van in Springfield. The plan was to tow the thing at least to Stafford Baptist until we figure out what to do with it from there. When they got to the dealership, the van started right up so he tried to drive it. He made it about 15 miles and it died again so they hooked it up to the truck. They were planning on towing it to the Chevron in Dumfries which has always been very kind to us but a "not so nice" State Trooper had other plans. Who knew it was illegal to tow your own vehicle! After two tickets, one for Clint driving the van and one for Ben who was driving the truck, she gave them 2 hours to get the van off the road and they had to use a tow truck. Can you hear the $$$ racking up? I sure can! Well, the van finally made it to the Chevron who will be telling us what is wrong sometime this evening. I am not sure I even want to know!
